The parking lot does not belong to the farm, and we are not permitted to use it for parking except for 5 minute pick-up and drop-offs (or if you are planning to use the park).
When parking briefly in the state park parking lot, please be mindful not to block the farm driveway, as residents may be coming and going at all hours.
Pick Up and Drop off:
Drop off is at 9:30am, Pick up at 2:30pm
Your camp leader will be stationed at the top of the Boones Ferry Rd Trailhead each morning (next to the parking lot) waiting for your arrival. All the children will gather there together and then walk down to the farm. At the end of the day, pick up will happen here as well.
What to wear: Please make sure that every day your child(ren) come to camp wearing sunscreen, sun hat, sturdy sandals or shoes that they can hike in, and clothing appropriate for the coldest part of the day. Oregon summer mornings can be chilly and damp. We can always take layers off! Please do not send your child(ren) in flip flops or crocs.
What to bring:
Please bring a healthy picnic lunch (no sugary foods please!) and a water bottle.
The best way to pack your child's lunch is in a small backpack that is easy for your child to hike with. The backpack should be small enough to carry with ease and large enough to include a healthy lunch, water bottle, and long sleeve shirt.
Our goal is to give the children an opportunity to step outside of the modern world in order to connect deeply with nature. Our request is that the children wear plain clothing free from brand name labels and media images. We also suggest that TV/ video games /computer time is limited or eliminated during the week(s) your child(ren) attend camp. Please do not bring items from home (like toys or games) as this will interfere with their immersion experience.
